One of my main concerns before I start Whole30 is my calcium intake. I got back from the supermarket and did all my meal prep including the most delicious beef rogan josh and I also prepped for breakfast tomorrow (See the recipes section) After feeling so groggy and lethargic today I can’t wait to eat good homemade food next week! That’s the plan for week one, I’m pretty excited. Soft poached eggs with spinach and mushroom hash.Sweet potato bubble and squeak with poached eggs.I only planned for 5 days’ worth of meals too and figure we’ll just create something with whatever is left in the fridge at the end of the week. I think I’ll just mix them up and see how I feel on each day and use the breakfast recipes as a rough guide. I did a basic meal plan, but I only came up with a few ideas for breakfast. I will not miss hangovers this month! Anyway tomorrow is new day, a healthier day. I also went for high tea with some of the girls that I train with. I had a real blow out this weekend of all the ‘forbidden foods’ for the month, including take-away, wine and bread. So, next week we’ll just need to buy fresh vegetables.

Another reason why our initial shop was so much is because I intend to make some large meal batches and freeze them for convenience. I don’t think I have ever had such a healthy shopping trolley! I did spend triple the amount what we usually spend but I bought a lot of meat and stocked up the pantry with essential items. So, I did my grocery shopping today in preparation for our Whole30 month starting tomorrow.
